Features of the 3D cricket game
Nukkad to Nation is a free 3D cricket game for the browser. Open it and you are one tap from a match: bat, bowl and field yourself, play someone online, build a Star XI or win a tournament. Behind that sit two deep careers that take you from a city club in a state league to a World Cup final.
- Quick 3D matches in one tap, from 2 overs to a five-day Test, with the classic PC cricket keys, a controller or swipes on a phone.
- Online matches against anyone who is free, with a bot when nobody is, and rooms to play a friend.
- Star XI: collect player cards, build an eleven with chemistry, and climb ten divisions.
- Tournaments: a World Twenty, a World Fifty, a Champions Eight, the franchise leagues, bilateral series and your own.
- Two careers: manage a team as head coach, or play as one cricketer.
- 20 nations, each with its own board, states, conditions and talent.
- 7 formats: Test, first-class, ODI, List A, T20I, T20 and club 40-over cricket.
- Live ball-by-ball matches where you choose shots and deliveries, with reviews, charts and a wagon wheel.
- Signings, youth academies, training, auctions, a job market and press conferences.

What is it like to play a match?
Every match in the quick modes is played in 3D, with the camera behind the bowler like a TV broadcast.
- Batting with timing, footwork and direction: front foot, back foot or down the track, 24 strokes from the forward defence to the scoop, and edges when late swing or seam beats you.
- Bowling with a pitch marker and a run-up meter, and a full set of deliveries for every style: outswingers and inswingers, cutters, bouncers, yorkers and slower balls, off-breaks, leg-breaks, googlies, doosras and carrom balls.
- Fielders who chase, slide, dive and throw, catches as the ring closes, run outs at the moment the bails come off, and stumps that break one at a time.
- Cricketers with their own height, build, face and kit, bowling actions of their own, and celebrations and huddles after wickets.
- A TV-style build-up with the toss in the middle, cameras between balls, slow-motion replays from several angles, ball tracking on LBW reviews and graphics for every big moment.
- Two-voice commentary in captions or a spoken voice, and a crowd that builds with the chase.
- Graphics from Low for phones to Ultra with soft shadows, floodlight glow and light shafts.
What are the ways to play?
- Quick match: any two of 20 national sides, the state and county teams and the franchise sides, any format, ground, pitch and time of day.
- Play online: 5 and 10-over games against someone close to your rating. Bots are always named as bots.
- Star XI: packs earned by playing, never bought, a squad with chemistry, Squad Battles, Rivals and objectives.
- Tournaments: play your matches in 3D or simulate them, with tables, brackets, stats leaders and awards.
- Nets: practice against the bowler you choose, with a coach who reads your timing.

What can you do in manager mode?
In manager mode you are the head coach. You decide who plays, how they play and who joins, and the board judges you on its target for the season.
- A team sheet on the pitch: pick your XI, batting order, captain and keeper for each format.
- Pre-season signings: up to three signings from a scouted shortlist of free agents and rival players, with fees, wages and contract lengths to negotiate.
- Youth academy: three levels, from nets and coaching to a centre of excellence. Each intake brings teenagers with real potential.
- Training: a team focus and intensity, one-to-one coaching for individual players and specialist camps.
- The board and the fans: one standing out of 100 built from results, the dressing room, the fans and the finances. Fall below the line and you are sacked.
- A real job market: your reputation grows from local name to global name. Bigger clubs, state sides, franchises and national teams start to call.
- Franchise auctions and drafts: retain your core, then bid against rival franchises in the auction room.

What can you do in player mode?
In player mode you are one cricketer starting at club level. You bat and bowl the big moments yourself and fight for selection at every level.
- Experience to spend: earn XP in matches and spend it on your batting, bowling, fielding and mental skills.
- A selection race: see exactly how far you are from the next squad and what the selectors want.
- Trials and the draft: earn a trial with the state side and set your base price for the T20 league auction.
- Your own brand: a nickname, shirt number, celebrations and bat, plus sponsors once your following grows.
- Interviews: after big performances, your answers move the fans, your team-mates and the selectors.

How do live matches work in a career?
Every career match can be watched live, played in 3D or simulated. Live, you play ball by ball or skip ahead by over and innings, with auto-play at four speeds.
- A pavilion scoreboard with number plates, both batters, the bowler’s figures and the win chance.
- A floodlit ground with field placings that follow your plan, and every delivery animated.
- Sixteen real shots, from the cover drive to the ramp, offered to suit each ball, with a signature shot of your own.
- Your call between the wickets: stay, or push for the second run against the throw.
- Play in the middle in 3D: bat, bowl and field yourself on a floodlit ground with the classic PC cricket keys, a controller or swipes on a phone, with real swing, seam, spin and bounce, catches and run outs, and ball-tracking reviews.
- Two-voice commentary, slow-motion replays and TV graphics, a field you set yourself by dragging fielders, and the nets for practice that never touches your career.
- The over in scorer’s notation, a commentary scorebook and the full scorecard.
- Decision reviews with ball-tracking for LBWs and edge detection for catches behind.
- A chalk worm chart, a scoreboard-style Manhattan and a wagon wheel split into scoring areas.
- Match sound made in the browser: the bat, the crowd and a dhol after the big moments.

Which countries and competitions are included?
Twenty nations are in the game. Twelve are full members: India, Australia, England, South Africa, New Zealand, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, West Indies, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Ireland and Zimbabwe. Eight are associate nations: the Netherlands, Scotland, Nepal, the United States, Namibia, the UAE, Oman and Canada.
Each nation has state or provincial sides and city clubs. Above them sit domestic leagues, five franchise T20 leagues with auctions or drafts, bilateral tours, the Asia Cup, World Cups and a World Test Championship.
What are the rules in the game?
Real playing conditions are built in and can change each season when the governing bodies meet: the Decision Review System, bouncer limits, free hits, the Impact Player, in-match over-rate penalties, the follow-on and the Super Over. The rules page explains each one, and the in-game Rulebook shows the current season’s version.
Can I play on my phone?
Yes. Every screen is built to work on a phone as well as a computer, with the main button always on screen. 3D matches play in landscape with swipe batting or on-screen buttons, and the game waits if you turn the phone upright. Once loaded, the game also works offline, apart from online matches.
Common questions
Is there a download?
No. Nukkad to Nation runs in your browser on a computer, tablet or phone. You can add it to your home screen to open it like an app.
How many formats of cricket are there?
Seven: Test, first-class, ODI, List A, T20I, T20 and club 40-over matches.
Does the game have auctions like the big T20 leagues?
Yes. Franchise leagues in the game hold retentions and an auction, or a draft, before each season. Managers bid in the auction room and players set a base price.
Are the players real?
No. Every player, club, league and governing body is fictional and generated for your world, so no two careers are the same.
